Campaingers:   Meets every Wednesday @ 7:00 pm for Bible Study, Games, and Treats!!!!! (During the school year.)  Once a month we have an additional activity such as:  Bowling, Lock-ins, Hoonting, Paintball, Ingham Okoboji Outreach Nights, Laser Tag

Recharge:   Fall and Spring Retreat Ministry weekend filled with games, music, skits, free time, chapel fun, and a few surprises at Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp for Middle School & High School. 

 

Mission Trips 

 

Denver Urban Ministries Jr. High Mission Trip

Mark your calendars for August 6-12, 2011 we’re heading to the Mile High City of Denver, CO for 4 days of service through the Urban Education program.  Opportunities to volunteer include:  working with the homeless, low-income families, children, people with disabilities through VBS, food and clothing banks.  We’ll also learn about the causes of poverty and homelessness thru experiential leaning.  

 

The first stop on our trip is Kearny, NE where we’ll either visit Fort Kearny, Fort Kearny State Recreation Park or The Great Platte River Road Archway. Our next stop will be in Denver where we’ll stay at one of the churches that participates in the Denver Urban Ministries program where we’ll be based out of for 4 days of service to the Denver community. 

 

We’ll have free time in the evening and one full day to experience activities in the area which
might include: a Rockies game, Estes Park, Water World, Elitches or the Downtown Aquarium.
 Cost for the trip is $300 which includes transportation, gas, food and lodging in Denver, 4 days of service (lodging, food, preparation materials, ministry supplies, and staff) and a free day to explore Denver.
