![]() The Women of the ELCA is the women’s organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. As a partner in the total ministry of the church, the organization affirms, supports, and challenges women in their daily ministries at home and around the world.
The Rebecca Circle meets the second Tuesday of the month (excluding June, July and August) at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The Bible Study the women currently use is centered around the book of Proverbs. Members of the Circle take turns leading the Bible Study.
The Priscilla Circle meet the third Tuesday of the month (excluding June, July and August) at 7:30 p.m. The member’s take turns hosting and providing refreshments, as well as leading the Bible Study. The Bible Study used is from the Lutheran Women Today magazine.
The Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America meet once a month with a program that varies as well as a business meeting. Each year the Women of the ELCA participate in the community World Day of Prayer held each March. In November, it has become a tradition for the women to host a Thankoffering service. The first Sunday of Advent is looked forward to by many for the Advent Family Potluck and Program.
Quilt Work Day is held the first Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Anyone who likes to sew and quilt is welcome to join the group. New members are always welcome! All of the quilts created are given to various people and organizations. Some of these include: Lutheran Lakeside Camp for their yearly Quilt Auction; Lutheran World Relief; and the church’s adopted families at Christmas. Each new baby that is baptized into the First Lutheran family also receives a baby quilt.

The Sarah Circle meets the third Thursday of the month (excluding July and August) at 1:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The Bible Study used is from the Lutheran Women Today magazine. Members of the Sarah Circle take turns leading the study, as well as being hostess and giving devotions.
