Quilts for World Relief

During the year, women of First Lutheran meet on the first Thursday of each month to sew quilts for Lutheran World Relief.  On the average, 30 quilts are produced each year.  In 2003, a group of 13 members that traveled to Tanzania each took a quilt with them and presented to individuals during their mission trip.

Quarters for World Hunger

All quarters that are in the weekly offering are designated for World Hunger.  Since its inception in August of 2001 over 7,000 quarters have been received!  Many members find this a quick and easy way to help fight World Hunger.
